TPU thermoplastic polyurethane is an oustanding material for recycling. There have been numerous research and development efforts and publiscations on recycling and reuse of polyurethane(1). Leading TPU raw material providers have been teaming up with companies in diversified sectors to explore the unlimited possiblities of reusing TPU materials (2, 3, 4). 

At  Twinikel, we look at 2 streams of recycling:

•Scraps during production at our production lines. These can be virgin materails that can be readily reused to produce other consumer products, or it can be discarded ready handrails due to quality checks that can be torn down to get recycled to other industrial products.

•Collection and recycling of handrails from end customers globally. Twinikel is eager to work with any companies who is interested in designing a competitive supply chain that can collect and recycle the TPU handrails and reproduce them into other products.
